ABOUT

Hello, I’m Husain! I am a strength-based, multicultural Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) with over 20 years of experience in the mental health field. I work primarily with men navigating anxiety, depression, trauma (PTSD & Complex PTSD), and addictions. Many of my clients face complex health challenges such as suicidal thoughts, self-harm, or brain injuries (TBI). I also support individuals recovering from assault or injury through the ICBC and CVAP programs.

My approach is trauma-informed, relational, and anti-oppressive. I integrate EMDR (advanced trained), Trauma-Focused CBT, and Polyvagal techniques to help reconnect your body and mind with safety and confidence.

I support men facing anxiety, depression, trauma and/or addictions. This may include those impacted by assault, injury, or chronic health issues. Using EMDR, trauma-focused CBT, and somatic work, I focus on building safety, confidence, and relief from these symptoms. This helps folks feel more grounded, connected, and in control of their life.

In our work together, you can expect a collaborative, compassionate process that encourages growth, insight, and resilience. Most clients notice meaningful changes within the first few sessions. They report feeling more grounded, self-aware, and able to respond to life’s challenges with increased clarity and strength.
